It's a great iron; hair seems to stay straight longer. I couldn't do the other styles, so I can't review on those.
I bought this flat iron after getting an awful shoulder-length cut that caused my ends to flip-out 50s style. My hair is color-treated, mostly straight with some waves, and kind of frizzy if I don't blow-dry. YES, the iron took the kinks out, but the smoke coming off my DRY hair was alarming, considering my hair is already pretty dry. Now I'm paranoid about using it everyday and save it for special occasions. If I could return this item, I would buy an iron with temperature control instead. Seriously, take my advice on this!
This is a great strengthener for the price. I know that it is about twice the price of a chi, but it is atleast 3 times better. The ghd is not the best strengthener that I have ever used, but it is the best one for the price. It gets hot within seconds, and it gets your hair super straight without putting your hair under extreme heat (like with most other strengtheners). I know that I have less breakage and hair loss with the use of the ghd, but my hair is just as straight or straighter. I would highly recommend the ghd to anyone!!!!
I ordered this ghd styler because I first saw it on Sephora and read so many good reviews about it. And I loved that it was white and had universal voltage. I was so excited to find it on Amazon for such a great price. I only give it 2 stars for that fact it is so cute and looks great, other wise it would be just 1 star. It barely straightened my hair, and made it look frizzy. I have asian hair that never gets frizzy, and this gets my hair frizzy! It also "catches" my hair. I have been using FHI for several years now and will go back to that instead.
The first is my hairdresser!) I love it!!! I don't know how harmful it's to hair, but I don't think that blow dryer or any other iron will do better job in less time and effort!
I just got it today and im very satisfied with it. it is authentic because i contacted GHD to confirm that amazon is an official stockist.
I chose the white one because its not a very common color in hair straighteners. Pink and Blank can be seen everywhere else. The Box is the size of a shoebox, or even bigger and it came with 2 booklets and the Instructional DVD. Watching it wont waste your time.
it has the reset button for the plug and less than 30 seconds, it beeped in a weird unexpected way and started flashing the LED to announce that its ready for me to use. It gave me 15 more minutes to do everything else since it cut my straightening time in half. Thank you GHD and AMAZON. =)
