I bought this iron at a store. I had 2 stop working on me in the span of 7 months. The first only lasted 2.5 months. The third one I got through the warranty was not put together correctly and ripped out my hair. The warranty only lasts a year and the product will surely break down before then. I was told I could not have a refund because "the store I bought it from is the company that took my money." I have never been so frustrated with a company.


When I was 16, I bought my first and only CHI. I thought that thing was the greatest flat iron ever invented, and at the time it was. Mine lasted 2 years before it started shorting out, which I now have come to find is a very LONG life for one. I went to my stylist on day and my dying chi came up in conversation. I told her I was in the market to buy another, and she told me not to waste my money. She pulled out her HAI and went over my already CHI'ed hair, and the difference was astronomical! My hair was even straighter and very soft. It was shiny and silky, all without any product in it. I had her order me one that day. When it came in, I had to put it to the ultiment test, straightening my unblow-dried hair. I have the frizzest, most unruley hair you've ever seen on a white girl, and this thing had my entire head straightened in 10 minutes!!! I always took me atleast 25 with my CHI, even when it was new. All of my friends own CHIs and CHI Turbos, but they still come over to my place to use my HAI every other day. It's very rare when one of them uses their CHIs anymore.
The resilence of the HAI is amazing too. My stylist dropped hers in a tub of water the other day, it was off, but it was submerged. She pulled it out and set it over to the side to dry out. She turned it on 2 hours later to do my hair, and it worked just as great as it always had. If you're considering buying a ceramic flat iron, I definatly thing you should get this HAI. It works like the CHI Turbo, which also has the adjustable temperature. This may be $17 more that a turbo, but it's worth every cent!

Yeah, you don't have that problem at ALL with this. I get so many compliments on my hair when I use this. I would reccomend it to anyone! Its definitely a great investment. Trust me.


i really want to buy this sedu flat iron. i placed the order on 27 sept and expected it to arrive in thailand on 1 to 7 oct. but out of the blue, i received email from folica and amazon that my order was cancelled, without any explanation, but my credit card was not charged. can anyone tell me what is going on? i sent email to folica and amazon, but so far, no feed back from them yet. SOS.


This is a lovely to hold, light, and easy to use, flat iron. My hair stays straight and smooth from wash to wash - three days. Australian buyers should be aware the plug will need changing but I fully expected this and it was an easy, inexpensive job.


this must be a great product but its a 220V so if you live in america, beware its not for you. the seller did take it back and was very prompt with the refund. But don't waste your time buying it. And if you know anyone on amazon who sells a sedu please let me know, cause we can only see UK or european editions.


I have very frizzy, dry hair, but this straightener does not seem to damage it at all! No hair straightener but this one can tame my thick, curly hair. My hair stays straight and frizz-free until I wash it again.
