A little goes a long way. Just a dime size dollup of this product on wet hair before drying, and it will tame the frizzies. An alternate use is a small amount on dry hair. My stylist used this on me, and since finding it, I'm getting my own.
My stylist introduced this product to me and I have used it ever since. It's great for my thick, wavy, color-treated hair. I add a little to the palm of my hand, rub them together and apply through my hair, focusing on the ends. The results are soft, shiny, manageable hair and no frizz. I often just apply it to the ends of my hair when I don't want an all over treatment. This is great too if you have naturally wavy/curly hair like mine..just apply to damp hair before going to bed and you will wake up with lots of frizz free curls and waves! The smell is divine too!
This serum provides amazing protection and softness. I've tried lots of serums to help my fine, highlighted, too-dry-at-the-ends hair. This serum is the best, and it smells wonderful. It's very thin, and you put a small amount on the palm on one hand, then rub your hands together to get both hands/fingers slightly moist from it, and then rub it lightly into your hair and ends of the hair. This way you don't put too much and make the hair too greasy. Sometimes I do this twice, but the idea is to apply small amounts. Less is more. If you apply this serum correctly, it will NOT make your hair limp and greasy. If you put too much and slap it on, it will definitely be way too much, so you have to be careful and sparing as you apply it. I wash my hair and let it air dry while I do make-up, then I put on this serum before blow drying. It helps protect from the dryer heat, so this is better than putting it on AFTER the hair is dry.
The Amazon price is the best I've found....in my local beauty supply I was paying $18 plus tax for the small 4.25 oz bottle. At Amazon I get almost 3x the amount for $39.48 total including shipping, no tax. So that's a big savings. The smaller bottle isn't quite as good a buy, although it's still better than the stores. I think this 12 oz bottle will probably last a year, and I have long hair (below the shoulders). I used to use Silk Therapy, but Pearatin is much nicer. It has become my #1 "can't be without" hair product.
I have very long very fine thick hair, and I've been using Pearatin Serum for 2 or 3 years now. It lasts forever, but the last time I ran out, I had to get some Biosilk to last until my new stuff arrived. It wasn't even close to Pearatin in terms of how great it makes my hair look and feel. It's much stronger, less prone to split ends and it feels so much healthier. Not sure what it would do for hair that isn't so fine, but for my thick, fine hair, it's the only thing I really swear by.
It's a very light clear conditioner that smooths hair, gives it shine, protects it from frizzies or, in my case, the droops (I have straight hair) and never weighs hair down or gums it up. It even works as a moisturizer on your skin! Amazing.
